Role - Principal Mechanical Engineer

Location - Cardiff

Salary - up to 65k

Overview

An established and growing consultancy is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This senior role offers the opportunity to lead a team of around five Mechanical Engineers while taking responsibility for delivering and driving projects forward. The position has been created to provide additional leadership support to the Director and play a central role in the continued success of the business.

The Role

The Principal Mechanical Engineer will:

  • Manage and mentor a team of Mechanical Engineers.
  • Lead the delivery of mechanical projects across a variety of sectors.
  • Drive projects forward while ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
  • Play a key role in client liaison and building long-term relationships.
  • Support the Director in overseeing workload and technical delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and progression of junior engineers.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant building services discipline.
  • Extensive experience in mechanical building services design and consultancy.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong project delivery and client-facing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
