A leading medical robotics startup in Central London is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design and development of mechanical systems for medical devices. The ideal candidate will have a Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering and at least 8 years of experience in complex electromechanical systems. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on innovation, contributing significantly to life-changing technologies in healthcare. A competitive salary and ongoing professional development opportunities are part of the offer.
Machnet Medical Robotics (MMR), founded in 2020, is on a mission to revolutionize medical robotics. Our guiding principle is simple : innovation must improve patient outcomes, support clinicians without disrupting workflows, and empower healthcare staff rather than adding burden.
MMR is a well-funded company with long-term investors and a strong financial foundation. Our talented hardware and software team has successfully developed a fully functional prototype of our medical robotic platform, which has already undergone successful animal trials. With the prototype validated, we are now entering the next phase : perfecting the mechanical design for production, ensuring safety, reliability, manufacturability, and scalability as we prepare to bring our technology to hospitals worldwide.
We are currently seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer with expertise in medical robotics to join our team in central London. As a vital member of our engineering team, your primary focus will be on developing and optimising mechanical systems for various projects spanning different sectors. Your engineering development experience and ability to navigate diverse challenges will be instrumental in driving our projects from conception to realisation.
At MMR, you’ll work at the intersection of robotics, AI, and healthcare. You will build data systems that directly enable life-changing technology in hospitals. You’ll be part of a collaborative, impact-driven team, where your technical expertise will shape the future of medical robotics.
Equally important, we believe that technology must serve people responsibly. At MMR, we value human-centred innovation, moral integrity, and long-term responsibility. This applies not only to how we design our products, but also to how we treat our employees : with respect, care, and a commitment to their well-being and growth.
