A leading environmental solutions provider is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to oversee technology projects within the nuclear sector. This role entails design responsibilities, client interaction, and mentorship of junior engineers. The ideal candidate has significant mechanical engineering experience, particularly in the nuclear field, and must possess a relevant degree. The position is based in Abingdon, UK, and requires candidates to have the right to work in the UK.

As a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer, with significant expertise and experience within the nuclear sector, the Principal Mechanical Engineer will take complete ownership of projects relating to the delivery of world class technology solutions for handling systems in complex hazardous environments. In a client-facing role, including travelling to nuclear sites and facilities across the UK and internationally, the Principal Mechanical Engineer is expected to take responsibility for the design and delivery of projects, including the specification, design development, detail design, and documentation, as well as design change management and conducting risk assessments.
