Hourly Rate: £28.33 PAYE or £37.55 UMB

Role Purpose

As a Principal Environmental Health Officer, your primary goal will be to uplift standards within Croydon's private rented sector, protecting the health, safety, and welfare of residents. You will play a key role in enhancing the renting experience for private renters while ensuring landlords and property agents meet legal obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of up to 6 FTE, including Environmental Health Officers and Housing Enforcement Officers.
  • Lead complex enforcement activities, including legal proceedings and property licencing.
  • Provide expert advice and support on Environmental Health and Housing legislation.
