Job description
Principal Cardiac Physiologist/Scientist (CRM & Invasive)

To lead the CRM and Cath lab physiology team, contributing positively to the leadership of the whole Cardiac Physiology team, working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe delivery of CRM and Cardiac Cath Lab services including implants and follow-up. You will be responsible for the safe delivery of cardiology investigations performed throughout the trust. The department is undergoing rapid growth and transformation in the next few years and is ready to further develop. Workforce planning initiatives have identified staff training and development needs which dovetail into the Cardiology 5 year plan.

The Cardiology department consists of inpatient, outpatient and community services and provides 24/7 primary PCI with a Cath Lab on the Basingstoke site.

Main duties of the job
  • Recent experience in management of RTT and diagnostic wait targets

Cardiac Physiology is an ambitious and enthusiastic team supported by an equally ambitious and enthusiastic team of Cardiology Consultants. Together we strive to deliver high quality care to all our patients. As Physiologists, we support and provide a wide range of investigations, including; all aspects of ambulatory monitoring, transthoracic, 3D TOE, Stress, DSE, 24/7 PPCI, Cath lab, IVUS, FFR, brady and complex CRM service. The department are currently experiencing some exciting changes, with the build of two new cath labs, and the development of an EP service.
