Job description

Principal/ Associate Sustainability Consultant

Location: London – Hybrid

Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 DOE

One of the UK’s leading sustainable consultancy firms is seeking an experienced and passionate Principal/Associate Sustainability Consultant to join their team in London.

The firm focuses on offering dynamic and environmentally conscious solutions for the built environment. They are multi-disciplinary, offering services in acoustics, building services, sustainability and many more. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of managing teams, delivering quality projects and have an excellent understanding of relevant sustainability practices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead in the delivery of high-scale projects with some of the industry’s top clients
  • Be responsible for the development and support of junior members
  • Deliver environmental assessments (BREEAM, WELL, HQM) from conception through to completion
  • Conduct modelling and analysis activities i.e. embodied carbon, circular economy, building performance, overheating
  • Deliver workshops with clients and design teams
  • Ensure project teams are meeting expectations

What we’re looking for:

  • Knowledge of Building Regulations Part L (Elmhurst, IES) and Net zero carbon strategies
  • Experience conducting thermal comfort and overheating assessments.
  • Ability to produce and support planning applications
  • A minimum of 7/8 years of experience within sustainability consulting is a must
  • Have a passion for sustainability within the built environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience of managing a team, working towards a common goal and meeting deadlines
