A leading aerospace and defense company in the UK seeks a Lead or Principal FPGA/Firmware Engineer to develop cutting-edge firmware for complex systems used in aviation and military platforms. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, system integration, and potential travel across the UK. Ideal candidates are experienced with FPGA design tools and possess strong communication skills. Lead and Principal FPGA/Firmware Engineers are sought to join our growing Luton or Bristol based teams. You will work with experts to deliver firmware for complex digital systems that meet challenging future customer requirements in fast jet, UAV, land, and naval platforms. Your role may involve travel across the UK or abroad for technical reviews. You will use or develop team leading experience to support the delivery of work from several engineers and help enhance processes across UK-wide FPGA/Firmware delivery teams.
This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, including meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
