Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing

Setting: Primary (1 : 1 & Small Group Support)

A lovely primary school in Derby City are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from January. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.

About the Role
  • Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASC, speech and language needs, and SEMH
  • Providing 1 : 1 support as well as small-group interventions
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans
  • Helping to create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Using positive behaviour strategies to promote engagement and independence
  • Building strong working relationships with pupils, staff, and families
About You
  • Experience working with children with SEND (school or care settings)
  • Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Confident communicating with children with varied needs and abilities
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
  • Reliability, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed
  • Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification is desirable but not essential
