Location: Rubery, Birmingham, B45

Daily Rate: £155 - £255

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: End of Spring Term 2026 (with potential to extend)

Working Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm

Overview

Long Term Futures are working alongside a friendly, community-focused primary school in Rubery, Birmingham, who are looking to appoint a confident and experienced Year 6 Teacher for the Spring Term from January 2026. This is a full-time role with a strong focus on end-of-Key-Stage preparation, with scope for extension depending on school requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, well‑paced lessons tailored to Year 6 pupils
  • Support pupils through SATs preparation using targeted teaching and intervention strategies
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate assessment and tracking records
  • Establish a calm, structured classroom with clear expectations
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and KS2/phase leaders
  • Communicate effectively with parents and contribute to assessment meetings
  • Adapt planning to support a range of abilities, including pupils with SEN
