Year 2 Class Teacher

Location: Portsmouth

Start Date: February 2026

Contract: 5 days per week - full time

Pay: Paid to scale (£168 – £233 per day)

About the Role:

A larger than average Primary school in the Portsmouth area is seeking an experienced Year 2 teacher starting February 2026 until the end of the academic year. This is a role with full class teacher responsibilities.

You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a Year 2 class, working closely with a year group partner. The role includes full teaching responsibilities and offers the opportunity to contribute to wider school life.

Requirements
  • UK-recognised teaching qualification.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Compliance with DfE and Safer Recruitment standards.
