Day-to-Day, Part-Time & Full-Time Positions Available
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools across Mansfield, Nottingham. Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day work, consistent part-time hours, or full-time long-term placements, we have opportunities to suit your availability.
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. Working closely with the class teacher, you will help create a positive learning environment and assist with pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and across whole classes
Assist with phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy activities
Help plan and prepare learning resources
Promote positive behaviour and support daily classroom routines
Offer tailored support for pupils with SEND and additional needs
Supervise children during activities, transitions, and break times
Encourage engagement, confidence, and independence in learners
To be considered for this role, you must have:
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE/NCFE or equivalent)
Recent UK school-based experience, ideally within a primary setting
Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Knowledge of the EYFS, KS1, or KS2 curriculum
Experience delivering or supporting phonics (RWI, Little Wandle, etc.)
Experience supporting pupils with SEND, EAL, or behavioural needs
Ability to deliver small-group interventions
