Academics are working with a fantastic primary school in Chelmsford, Essex who are urgently seeking a Primary School HLTA to join them from January on a permanent contract.

The role of a Primary School HLTA is to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may include planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short‑term for whole classes, as well as monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils' achievement, progress and development.

A HLTA qualification is desirable but not essential.

The ideal candidate should have over three months' experience in a similar role, covering whole classes during teachers' PPA time, and possess good knowledge of the national curriculum.
