Primary HLTA Wanted to make a Difference in Chesham & Dacorum!

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and helping them thrive in a primary school setting? Supply Desk is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant primary school community in Chesham or the Dacorum area.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners’ development in SEN or mainstream primary settings.

Position Details
  • Location: Chesham & Dacorum, Hertfordshire

  • Start Date: ASAP / October 2025

  • Salary: Starting from £100 per day (depending on experience)

  • Contract: Full-Time Temp-to-Perm

Your Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons tailored to primary-aged children

  • Assist in developing and implementing individual learning plans for pupils needing extra support

  • Provide one-to-one or small-group assistance to enhance learning and confidence

  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence

  • Contribute to lesson planning and lead engaging classroom activities when required

  • Track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to help children grow

What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience as an HLTA or in a similar educational support role, ideally in a primary school

  • A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils and staff

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently

  • A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative team player
