Working within HMP Lincoln provides an exciting opportunity for all healthcare professionals. The Primary Healthcare Team provides a wide variety of care from initial assessment / screening for all new patients, clinical triage, emergency response, care of minor illness and injuries, nurse led clinics for long term conditions and health promotion. We aim to provide healthcare to offenders that is equivalent to those in the community.

The integrated healthcare service provided by the Healthcare Team at HMP Lincoln aims to provide consistent, equitable, high quality and timely physical and mental health services to all prisoners. You will have the support and opportunity to develop your skills in a range of areas including assessing patient conditions, triaging services and providing appropriate clinical interventions including emergency care.

We provide a Primary Care Service 24/7 and a Mental Health service over 7 days a week.

It's the variety of this role which will provide a stimulating experience like no other, one minute you could be delivering a nurse led clinic, the next you may be attending an emergency response.

You will be able to work autonomously whilst always having the support of a strong team when required.

You will be involved in leading and developing nurse‑led clinics for health screening, vaccination and immunisation and long term conditions.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
