Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurseto join ourPrimary Care teamatHMP and YOIWerrington, a young offenders prisonlocated inStoke-on-Trent.

HMP YOI Werrington is a young offenders prison for age 15-18 offenders which has a capacity of 100 inmates.

In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

Hours

The site currently offers a 24-hour service and shift patterns Days: 07:30 -21:00 Nights: 20:45 - 07:45 The shifts are on a 4 week rolling rota, working 3 weeks of day shifts and 1 week of night shifts & weekends.

Salary

This position is full time,youll receive an annual salary up to £41,659per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As aPrimary Care Nurseyour responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
  • Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received
  • Promote safe patient care
  • Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
