We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Thorn Cross, a Category D prison based in Warrington.

In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without compromising on efficiency and quality. This role is over 4 days. Hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm or 7.30am - 5.30pm; Weekends and Bank Holidays 7.15am - 12noon.

This position is one day a week, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
  • Be an integral part of the healthcare team at Brinsford by bringing your clinical skills and passion for care.
  • You could be involved in developing and leading clinics, undertaking examinations and tests, answering emergency bells, and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency.
  • Within this role, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions.

Qualifications and requirements
  • You will be a Registered Nurse (Adult), NMC qualified with evidence of continuing professional development
  • Understanding of the complexities of multidisciplinary and multi-agency working, with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
