Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a prestigious automotive manufacturer as a Paint Technician within their press fleet management team based in Surrey. This role is central to maintaining the flawless appearance and finish of a high-profile vehicle fleet used for press, marketing, and corporate activity. Working in a fully equipped bodyshop environment, the successful candidate will carry out everything from detailing and smart repairs to full resprays and paint rework — ensuring each vehicle meets the brand's elite standards.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out paint repairs unsupervised to a professional standard.
  • Perform detailing, spot repairs, and complete panel resprays as required.
  • Manage paint and consumable stock within allocated budgets.
  • Produce accurate quotes, time estimates, and job reporting.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment, ensuring scheduled servicing is completed.
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
  • Uphold high standards of housekeeping, personal appearance, and professionalism.
  • Ensure consistent application of quality processes and use of PPE.
Skills & Experience
  • Fully qualified Paint Technician with demonstrable trade experience.
  • Previous experience working on premium automotive brands essential.
  • Skilled in panel prep, filler application, spray painting, and polishing.
  • Strong understanding of surface quality and how it affects paint finish.
  • Ability to work independently, manage workload, and maintain high output quality.
  • PC literate and capable of handling digital job tracking and reporting systems.
