Overview

Press Brake Setter Operator. Southend on Sea (A127 corridor).

£16.85 per hour, dependent on experience (Days).

My client is a true global leader in the manufacture of innovative aircraft systems. Having been established for over 60 years, this family-owned organisation had very humble beginnings but has continued to evolve and expand over the past six decades. As a result, they are now seen by many as being a 'go to' manufacturer within the aerospace industry. This opportunity is for a Press Brake Setter Operator to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture precision detailed sheet metal components including the set up and use of Amada HFE, EG4010 and HFB CNC Press Brakes.
• Use precision equipment such as Vernier Callipers, Protractors and Vernier Height Gauge.
• Use and maintain equipment, such as Fly-Press, Guillotines and Drilling Machines.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
• Support team members with other tasks, as and when necessary.
• Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety policies.
• Carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant within manufacturing areas including Assembly, Machine Shop and Fabrication.

Qualifications / Skills

• Strong precision sheet metal work background with experience setting and operating both CNC and manual Press Brakes.
• Ability to read 3rd angle projection engineering drawings.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Benefits & Conditions

• Excellent hourly rate of £16.85 per hour, dependent on experience.
• Benefit package including a 6% pension (increasing to 7%), Health Care Cash Plan, Life Assurance and company sick pay scheme.
• Working hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-1pm.
