To be responsiblefor the accurate and timely processing of prescription requests for theentitled population, liaising effectively with all relevant personnel.
Duties can include, but are not limited to, the processing ofrepeat prescriptions in electronic and hard copy format, including onlinerequests. In addition, the post holder will be required to support themulti-disciplinary team, ensuring the strategic objectives of the organisationare met, and providing administrative support as required, in line with theneeds of the organisation.
Also to supportstaff with the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for theclinical team, liaising with multi-disciplinary team members and externalagencies such as secondary care and community service providers.

Previous experience working in the NHS is Desirable. Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, good IT skills and an excellent telephone manner are essential to the role. The candidate will need to have a flexible working approach and have the ability to work with a wide range of professionals, patients, colleagues and outside agencies.
We are a well-established two GP Partner practice, delivering a wide range of services to our 6700 patients with the support of a Salaried GP, Long term Locum GP, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Associate, Pharmacist , Practice Nurse, Health Care Assistant and our Admin / Reception teams. South King Street is also part of a strong Primary Care Network (PCN) comprising of 3 practices in the neighbourhood, called Blackpool Central West Primary Care Network.

Servicedelivery
Staffwill be given detailed information during the induction process regardingpolicy and procedure.
Thepost-holder must adhere to the information contained within the organisationspolicies and regional directives, ensuring protocols are adhered to at alltimes.
Security
Thesecurity of the organisation is the responsibility of all personnel. Thepost-holder must ensure they always remain vigilant and report any suspiciousactivity immediately to their line manager.
Underno circumstances are staff to share the codes for the door locks with anyoneand are to ensure that restricted areas remain effectively secured. Likewise,password controls are to be maintained and are not to be shared.
Professionalconduct, uniforms and appearance
Allstaff are required to dress appropriately for their role and in accordance withthe organisations Uniforms, Dress and Appearance Policy. All staff members areto ensure that their conduct is commensurate with line management expectationsand practice protocol.
Leave
Allpersonnel are entitled to take leave. Line managers are to ensure all theirstaff are afforded the opportunity to take a minimum of 28 days leave Pro rata eachyear and should be encouraged to take all their leave entitlement.
Publicholidays will be calculated on a pro-rated basis dependent on the number ofhours worked.
