Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent (Post‑Graduate Diploma or MSc leading to HCPC registration).
• Knowledge and training in ASD strategies and interventions such as PECS, SCERTS and ADOS.
• Health and Care Professions Council licence to practise (HCPC).

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and deliver evidence-based interventions to children with SLCN.
• Collaborate with parents and the wider children’s workforce to create tailored care plans.
• Provide reports for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Skills

ASD strategies and interventions

Knowledge of national and local policies

Experience managing own caseload

Education

Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent

Health and Care Professions Council licence

Membership of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
