We are international, operating in India, USA and the UK. In the UK all our nurseries are Ofsted rated Good and Outstanding and are based in London and Windsor. We’re still growing with 1-2 new nurseries opening each year. At Kido, we blend the best practices from the Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf Steiner approaches and have a unique curriculum for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We believe that a combination of free and structured play, an engaging and interactive learning environment, and an abundance of love, care and attention provide the most solid foundation for children in their early years. Find out more about each of our nurseries on our website.

We encourage our team to be the best they can be. As a growing nursery group we can prioritise your development so that you’ll be ready for other positions as they arise throughout the company.

Role responsibilities

Welcome to the heart of Kido, where passion, ambition and people are at the core of everything we do. As a Room Leader you’ll be more than just a leader; you’ll be an ambassador for our values and a gatekeeper for our vibrant culture.

You’ll take full ownership of your room, translate learning outcomes into inspiring classroom experiences, and work with your team to plan, organise and deliver engaging activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the Kido curriculum. You’ll ensure educators in your classroom observe and assess their key children and help them set goals for each child. You’ll be a role model for excellence, accountable for your team’s standards and the growth and progress of your staff.

You’ll enable curiosity and exploration in both indoor and outdoor spaces, delivering exceptional experiences throughout children’s learning journeys. Strong communication with parents, children and colleagues will help you deliver the best possible experience.

You’ll contribute to assessing and recording each child’s progress and achievements, aligning with our observation systems so no milestone goes unnoticed and every achievement is celebrated. We nurture each child’s unique journey, acknowledging diverse backgrounds, cultures, disabilities and medical histories. Your flexibility, insights and feedback will be valued as we push the boundaries of excellence in early years education.
