A healthcare organization in Milton Keynes is looking for an experienced part-time practice nurse to join their friendly team. Responsibilities include managing patient care, implementing vaccination programs, and supporting long-term health monitoring. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing various clinical duties such as asthma care, wound care, and vaccinations. This role offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to improving community health.
We are looking to recruit a new practice nurse ( part time- 24 hrs per week across 3 days) to join our friendly nursing team within a busy GP surgery in Milton Keynes. You will be expected to carry out all practice nurse's duties such as Asthma, wound care, ECGs, Blood Tests, blood pressure monitoring, vaccinations etc to our patients.
The post holder is responsible for the delivery of basic practice nursing services care to the practice population. Supported by experienced practice nurses within the Practice, they will deliver care within the boundaries of their role, focusing upon supporting patients to be healthy, monitoring of long-term conditions, health prevention and screening activities. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures and providing nurse leadership as required.
We are based at Netherfield in Milton Keynes with 3 members of friendly nursing team. We are looking for an experienced practice nurse to join our team for a part time role(3 days a week, 24 hrs in total)to serve our patients . Our mission is to improve the quality of life of our community by taking care of their health needs. We also expect the candidate to work as part of our PCN as well when needed.
Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate programmes to promote health and well-being and prevent adverse effects on health and well-being
Implement and evaluate individual treatment plans for patients with a known long-term condition
Assess and care for patients presenting with uncomplicated wounds
Manage respiratory clinic.
Undergo relevant training to support and advise women requesting information relating to family planning needs
Undergo relevant training to support and manage the health needs of women presenting for cervical cytology consultations
Under the direction of experienced practice, nurses implement and participate in vaccination and immunisation programmes for both adults and children
Advice, support and where appropriate, administer vaccinations for patients travelling abroad
