A healthcare provider in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves carrying out treatment room activities and chronic disease management in a busy GP surgery. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and adherent to professional conduct. This position aims to provide high-quality, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary team.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly team at Woodley Centre Surgery on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
The successful candidate will be a motivated, flexible, and compassionate clinician, able to undertake the full range of Practice Nurse duties within a busy GP surgery environment. You will work as part of our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
You will be expected to carry out all usual treatment room and chronic disease management activities, including but not limited to:
Childhood and adult immunisations
Cervical cytology
Wound care and dressings
ECGs, spirometry, blood pressure checks, phlebotomy
Health promotion and lifestyle advice
Long-term condition management (e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension reviews)
Woodley Centre Surgery is a 3 Partner forward thinking surgery. We currently run 5 Group Clinics and enjoy working collaboratively across the wider team.
The Practice Nurse will work as part of the clinical team to deliver high quality, evidence-based nursing care to the registered practice population. The post holder will provide a full range of treatment room and chronic disease management services, supporting patients to maintain and improve their health and wellbeing.
This is a 12-month fixed-term role to cover maternity leave.
