Job Summary

The Alney Practice is looking for a Practice Nurse to work across two sites – Cheltenham Rd and Highnam. We seek candidates who have or are pursuing a specialist qualification in Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Travel Vaccinations, Sexual Health, or General Practice Nursing. The position offers a total of 35 hours per week, available as one full‑time post or two part‑time posts (minimum 16–18 hours across two days). Main Duties of the Job

To attend one of the two surgeries as requested, providing general practice nursing. Duties may include phlebotomy, ear irrigation, immunisations, cervical smears, wound dressings, and other services as per competency and qualification.

  • Attend Cheltenham Rd or Highnam surgeries as requested, delivering general practice nursing.

  • Document all care provided accurately in computer systems.
  • Manage nursing care of patients within clinics, using personal recall systems and the practice computer system.
