We are seeking a Practice Manager to join our large, forward-thinking team following the retirement of our long-serving manager.
About the Practice
Current sites: Chaddesden, Borrowash, Oakwood, and the University of Derby (on-site surgery)
Future plans: From April 2026, we will operate from three sites - Chaddesden, the University of Derby and expanding the Borrowash Surgery to accommodate more staff.

This role is wide and varied. It requires the practice manager to oversee the practice and to lead our management team to deliver the requirements of the partnership, ICB, PCN, NHSE and the business. The practice manager must ensure that we provide quality care to our patients whilst making informed choices and sound financial decisions including maximising income opportunities.
Ideally, you need a minimum of 5 years managerial/leadership experience in primary care.
The practice manager must have excellent communication skills and be able to talk to people at all levels.
The practice manager must be well organised and be able to work under pressure and ensure the practice hits deadlines and targets.
Park Medical Practice is a busy, fast-paced, hard working practice. We strive to offer the best service for our patients, our staff, the PCN and our local community.
We have a new management team with extensive experience in primary care and a wealth of innovative ideas that they are introducing to the practice.
Our management team works closely together at our Chaddesden site, but all members are required to be flexible and work across all locations, as well as attend off-site meetings and training sessions.
We feel that the practice is a caring/supportive practice and a great place to work. The partners and managers are very open to ideas/change/improvements. We hold regular team meetings and encourage life long learning/development.
The wellbeing of our staff is very important. We have several wellbeing champions. We hold social events, nights out, lunchtime walks in the Park, wellbeing events for staff and their families, gardening club, healthy eating club, charity events to name a few.
