A regional council in the UK seeks a qualified and experienced Social Worker to manage and support a team of practitioners in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include leading a team, providing consultancy, and developing professional training opportunities. Applicants must be registered with Social Work England and hold three years of relevant experience. We offer a £2000 welcome payment for qualified and experienced Social Workers, Occupational Therapists (grade J and above), Practice Consultants and Team Managers new to Norfolk County Council. The welcome payment is repaid in full should you leave within two years of employment. For experienced Social Workers new to the council we promise to match or better your existing salary, provided it is in the spectrum of the grade advertised.
You will be a registered Social Worker with Social Work England and have three years of post-qualifying social care/health employment. Your role involves managing and supporting a team of case‑holding Assistant Practitioners and Occupational Therapists across all adult social services disciplines in a fast‑moving and dynamic environment. You will take a lead role in the team, including managing workflow and providing case‑work consultancy to Assistant Practitioners. You will also work closely with your locality colleagues. You will have the opportunity to develop your professional knowledge through further training as a Best Interest Assessor, Approved Mental Health Practitioner or Practice Educator role.
