Job description

Working in the press office, you will help us portray our brands in the best way possible to the press. This includes liaising day‑to‑day on specific products and offers, managing large‑scale events, and supporting the day‑to‑day business as an intern. You will be responsible for your own live projects within the team, gaining exposure to senior management.

Responsibilities
  • Managing product mail‑outs, creating engaging ideas for send‑outs to encourage social sharing and press coverage.
  • Maintaining media lists and monitoring media coverage.
  • Assisting with PR and influencer events, from evaluative launches to trips.
  • Co‑ordinating day‑to‑day work with external PR agency.
  • Handling press calls and liaising with journalists.
  • Scanning fictional and feature coverage for distribution and sharing PR wins with wider teams.
  • Supporting social media efforts (captions, image capture, scheduling).
  • Sourcing influencers for paid partnerships, creating content briefs, and speaking to influencer agents.
  • Ordering product, stationery, presses, couriers and gathering press cuttings.
  • Collaborating with media team on paid media campaigns.

  • Operational Excellence – Mastering responsibilities and ensuring smooth operation of the press office.
  • Influencer & Media Engagement – Proactively contributing to engaging content and managing relationships with journalists and influencers effectively.
  • Creative Input – Generating innovative ideas for mail‑outs and social‑media content that drives brand visibility.
Candidate Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Understanding of the beauty business.
  • Knowledge of communications tools.
  • Capacity to understand the bigger business picture.
  • Technical aptitude with a keen interest in business processes.
  • Numerate and PC literate – especially strong Excel skills.
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to interact across all areas of the business.
  • Good knowledge of the beauty influencer landscape.
  • Creative eye for social‑media content creation.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
