Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyse data for statistical process control.

A globally recognised suppler of components for multiple is industries is looking to expand their Technical and Quality department by hiring a new PPAP Engineer. The PPAP Engineer reports to the Head of Technical and Quality and is responsible for ensuring the quality of all products. This includes managing instrument calibration, test planning, fault diagnosis, and reporting.

Some of your main responsibilities are listed below:

  • Incoming inspection: Inspect commercially available and in-house designed parts from external suppliers and internal manufacturing units against drawings or specifications to BS 8888 standards.
  • Factory acceptance testing: Independently inspect manufactured products and assemblies via the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) process.
  • First article inspection: Undertake first article inspection for the part approval process (PPAP).
  • Non-conformance reporting: Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans for non-conformance's.
  • Data compilation and analysis: Compile and analyse data for statistical process control.
  • Calibration management: Manage and administer the calibration process.
  • Continuous improvement: Participate in the continuous improvement process.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in inspection processes and test equipment. They must have a strong understanding of technical drawings and drawing symbols. Applicants must also have knowledge of quality tools for fault diagnosis and analysis of route cause.
