Job summary

A leading educational institution in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Power Engineering Mentor to join its apprenticeship team. This role will focus on supporting the growth of the Engineering Apprenticeship provision by training and assessing apprentices and their employers both in college and the workplace. The ideal candidate should demonstrate competency in the subject area and possess relevant assessor qualifications. Qualifications

  • Competency in the subject area.
  • An appropriate Assessor qualification (e.g. D32/D33/A1/TAQA or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in the subject area.
  • Experience of working with individuals to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team of EPNE assessors on and off site.
  • Assist EPNE assessors with formal reviews.
  • Liaise with End Point Assessment Organisations and support the delivery of the apprenticeship framework.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced and flexible Power Engineering Mentor to join our apprenticeship team to support the growth of our Engineering Apprenticeship provision. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Power Engineering Mentor or anyone wishing to leave industry, to work on a full‑time contract carrying out training and assessing duties for apprentices and their employers in college and the workplace.

Key responsibilities
  • Support the team of EPNE assessors on and off site to facilitate the timely success of learners and provide a wide range of training solutions based on employer and learner needs.
  • Assist EPNE assessors with formal reviews, monitor Off‑the‑Job training, gather data and support report writing to present to employers.
  • Liaise with End Point Assessment Organisations and support the delivery of the apprenticeship framework.
