We have a new opportunity for a Power Automation Developer to join our Solutions Delivery team in AXA UK. Reporting into the Intelligent Automation Technical Lead, you'll develop Microsoft Power App and Power Automate projects to deliver digital solutions across our businesses. You'll contribute to the design, development and support of business applications built using Microsoft Power Platform with a focus on Power Apps and Power Automate. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, automation design, and testing to deliver automated solutions that meet business needs and adhere to all necessary governance and regulations. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver Microsoft Power Apps and Power Platform solutions, taking projects through the automation design, development, testing, and deployment life cycle.
- Demonstrate expert understanding of modern security practices and standards relevant to the role.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure delivery plans and product improvements are aligned to business goals.
- Research, design and implement technical solutions that meet stakeholder needs and deliver tangible business benefits.
- Lead continuous improvement of the wider automation community and mentor peers.
- Identify potential improvements through automation tools and clearly articulate these ideas.
- Ensure the quality of automations through rigorous testing and suitable review processes.
- Build a strong network of relationships across the business to facilitate timely delivery of automations, defect fixes, and new projects.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience delivering automation solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate; understanding of environments, security roles, role‑based permissions, service accounts, canvas and model‑driven apps.
- Understanding of basic database concepts and data modelling within Microsoft Dataverse.
- Knowledge of coding standards and best practices specific to Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience with CI/CD tools within Azure DevOps or Power Platform.
- Ability to communicate complex and technical ideas clearly to any audience.
- Proficiency in source control tools like Git and understanding of branching strategies.
- Strong attention to detail.
