Job description

Pinnacle Group is seeking a dedicated Police Custody Deep Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our communities. You will be joining our Blue Light Soft FM Cleaning Team based at Clough Road Police Station - HU5. Our Soft Facilities Management division delivers essential services to homes, schools, universities, and public sector organisations - including housing providers and blue light authorities. We focus on creating clean, safe and welcoming environments, with a commitment to quality, community impact and customer care.

You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the custody suites. This vital role ensures the safety and well‑being of all users of the custody suites by upholding strict cleanliness and sanitation protocols in a high‑pressure environment. This is a permanent role of 15 hours per week. There is some flexibility with the shift pattern you choose, working between Monday and Sunday, 9am and 8pm.

Examples: 2 × days of 7½ hours or 3 × days of 5 hours. Plus, there is the expectation that overtime will be worked to cover annual leave and sickness, all to be discussed at the interview stage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain all areas to standards required to meet the Authority requirements, including deep cleaning of communal areas, custody suites, interview rooms, cells and vehicles.
  • Ensure appropriate PPE/uniforms are always used during working hours.
  • Adhere to strict protocols regarding biohazards, infection control, and contamination.
  • Maintain records of cleaning activities and report any issues or maintenance needs.
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in a secure police environment.
Key Requirements
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual cleaning tasks with knowledge of colour‑coding cloths, manual handling, COSHH & Health & Safety.
  • Use a variety of cleaning equipment, including scrubber dryers.
  • Ability to pass a Non‑Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) Check.
  • Must have resided in the UK for the last 3 years.
