  • Assess and treat complex cases as an autonomous practitioner.

About the Role

We are looking for a Band 6 Podiatrist to join a community-based service providing both clinic and domiciliary experience, covering Ormskirk, Skelmersdale, Burscough and Tarleton. There will be a mixture of working in the clinic and out in the community so the candidates need to have their own transport. Some remote working for admin/notes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the podiatry team, providing assessment and treatment for patients referred for assessment and intervention.
  • Be responsible for the comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, delivery evaluation and discharge of evidence-based podiatry intervention in appropriate locations, for example patient’s homes and other community locations.
  • Assess and treat a caseload which includes complex cases, in line with experience and ability, as an autonomous practitioner with appropriate supervision, evidencing high level problem solving and reasoning skills and independence of judgement.
  • Promote health and reduce inequalities for individuals, families, and communities, optimise opportunities for health promotion and health education to enable patients to maximise their potential in terms of health and social well‑being.
Who We Are Looking For
  • Education: HCPC registered. Complete a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry, a pre‑registration MSc (if you already have a relevant degree), or a degree apprenticeship in podiatry.
  • Experience: 2 years+ experience
  • Skills: communication, empathy, patience
  • Must have access to a car and a full UK driver’s licence.
