Overview

PMLD Teacher

Timeplan Education is recruiting a Qualified Teacher to join a Secondary PMLD school in Hillingdon. The role is full-time until the end of the academic year. You will be responsible for planning and delivering all core subjects and will also teach a small KS1 class on Friday afternoons.

Responsibilities
  • Lead interactive lessons and teach children with PMLD, ASD, ADHD and SEMH
  • Plan, deliver and assess lessons; develop therapeutic relationships with pupils
  • Manage and support a team of three other classroom staff
  • Promote inclusion and maximise pupil achievement; support pupils with medical and sensory needs
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in SEN schools, including pupils with SEN and PMLD
  • Ability to de-escalate and support emotional regulation
  • Valid DBS with online update service or willingness to apply for a new one
  • Availability for 5 days a week and commitment to 12-39 weeks
