Purpose of the Job

To help and support me with all my physical and social needs, provide respite for my parents.

Hours of Work

6.5 hours per week, flexibility is essential Evenings, weekends and school holidays.

Rate of Pay

£14.75 per hour

Tasks

• Hoisting/manual handling
• Working alongside a second PA because I need 2:1 support
• Toileting including intimate care
• Helping me with my physical needs
• Ensuring I am comfortable when using my wheelchair etc
• To support me to do things I enjoy doing
• Take me out to do things I enjoy doing
• Feeding (mickey feed)
• Plan and organise what activities I will be doing each week

Person Required

• Females preferred due to some personal care
• Outgoing and chatty
• Being able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
• Patient and understanding of my needs
• Experience of looking after children
• Organised and able to plan my schedule for me
• Flexible Driver essential; confident to drive a mobility van

About the Job

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment.

The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.

All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.

Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number.

Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
