A community housing provider in the UK is looking for a Plumber Gas Engineer to join their Repairs Team. The role involves visiting customers' homes for various plumbing and gas repairs. • Work flexibly to enable timely repairs based on customer arrangements.

About the role

We are on the hunt for a Plumber Gas Engineer to join our awesome Repairs Team. Our Work Planners will coordinate your diary, so you and the rest of the Repairs Team can be out there working together, putting our customer first.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in plumbing, gas or heating (or equivalent)
• Domestic Core Gas Safety (CCN1 or equivalent) – servicing of central heating, cookers, fires, meters, and flue analysing
• LPG (desirable)
• Full driving licence

You will have use of one of our company vans visiting our customers' homes, fixing various plumbing/gas repairs including diagnosing boiler faults and fixing them or replacing boilers as part of our planned programme.

Responsibilities

• Minimise disruption to customers and ensure compliance with safe methods of working in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act, Building Regulations & FHG's Health, Safety and Environment Policy.
• Maintain effective communication with the Supervisory/ administration and staff passing on information, concerns and problems with regard to any jobs.
• Attend pre‑arranged responsive repair appointments to carry out work or contact tenants directly to make access arrangements.
• Work flexibly to enable repairs to be carried out at times arranged with the customer.

Working Hours & Holiday

Your weekly hours of work would be 37, Mon - Thurs 8:00am till 4:00pm, Fri 8:00am till 3:30pm with 30 minutes break for lunch break, paid monthly.
