Colas Ltd have a fantastic opportunity for a Plant Operative to join the team. You will be responsible for production and manufacturing and be trained and experienced in forklift operations. You will work in the Rowfant processing plant loading orders from pallets to the weight of 1 tonne. Following Safety and Environmental protocol, maintaining stock levels and keeping a clean and safe environment.
As Plant Operative, you will ensure the Company’s Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental objectives are met and procedures are followed. You will undertake the receipt of raw materials and products, and be involved in the manufacture and reprocessing of products. The Plant Operative will also monitor raw materials and ensure stock levels are sufficient for production.
This role also covers plant maintenance, good housekeeping, and undertaking supervisory duties for operatives working in the plant to cover for the Plant Manager.
The ideal candidate will have safety and environmental awareness gained from working in any industrial-based role, and will have previous experience operating a Forklift Truck.
