Job summary

A leading engineering and construction company in Cannock is looking for a Mobile Plant Technician to service and repair a variety of plant equipment and vehicles. The candidate will be responsible for scheduled inspections, diagnostics, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Reporting to the Workshop Manager the main purpose of the role is to service and repair a wide range of plant equipment and vehicles in accordance with Company and Manufacturers Service Schedules. As a Mobile Plant technician, you will be maintaining and supporting our fleet of plant equipment. Responding to breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenance as required.

What your day will look like:
  • Carry out scheduled Service Inspections, servicing and repairs in compliance with manufacturers specifications.
  • Conduct regular servicing on machinery, plant and equipment as assigned to you.
  • Diagnose and repair of complex faults in machinery, plant and equipment.
  • Conduct repairs to machinery, plant and equipment, and their components.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient workshop and environment
  • Record information digitally, including photographs on Syrinx App
  • Carry out all tasks in compliance with the Company's Environmental and Health and Safety Procedures.
  • Happy to work under your own initiative and has part of a team
Knowledge that would be acquired through education to NVQ3 or equivalent.
  • CSCS
  • Preferably experience in similar role
  • Full UK driving licence (Essential)
  • Commitment to carry out in house Murphy training requirements
