As a Plant Accountant you will provide support to the Plant Controller and will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, pre payments, accruals, bank reconciliations, inventory/stock taking and material usage variances.

Client Details

My client are a global manufacturer. They are looking for a Plant Accountant to join them on a full time and permanent basis. Due to the nature of the organisation they require someone site based Monday-Friday.

Description

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor and report on cost variances, providing actionable insights to management.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities for the plant's operational expenses.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and fixed assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function.
  • Provide support for ad hoc financial projects as required by management.

Profile

  • Part qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
  • Previous accounting experience ideally within manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost management and reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • An ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Job Offer

Full time and permanent role + Monday to Thursday 8-4:30 and Friday 8-1 + Paying 45-47k + 25 days annual leave plus bank + Annual Bonus (8% of salary) + Life Assurance + Medical Insurance + Other excellent benefits.
