A local government authority in Walsall is seeking a Planning Technician to support the validation and registration of planning applications. The successful candidate will have a customer-centric approach, providing technical expertise and facilitating Planning Committee meetings. As a Planning Technician, you will play a vital role in our Technical Development & Support department. Your primary focus will be to assist in the validation and registration of planning applications, offering a customer‑centric approach to users of our Development Management services. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise within the Planning Service and facilitate smooth Planning Committee meetings.
This post is covered by the Government's Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
