Do you have strong technical experience and are ready to take the next step into a leadership role? East Lindsey District Council is seeking a Technical Support Lead to manage and motivate our Planning Support Team, ensuring exceptional service delivery and compliance with legislative requirements.

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Lead and develop a dedicated team, driving continuous improvement and high standards of Planning Support.
  • Oversee planning application systems, ensuring performance targets are met and legislative requirements applied.
  • Provide expert technical and administrative support across Planning Services, including managing processes for applications, appeals and enquiries.
  • Represent the department on corporate projects and liaise with Councillors, senior managers, and external partners.
  • Play a key part in our Partnership journey to align systems and processes.
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience in a technical or regulatory role, ideally within local government, or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage, train, and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex legislation and data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of data protection regulations.
Desirable:
  • Supervisory experience in a multi-skilled office environment.
  • Understanding of planning services and development management.
