Overview

The role is to lead and supervise a team of planning officers dealing with Development Management matters including the processing of complex major planning applications and to contribute to the efficient and effective performance of the section.

Responsibilities

• To lead and supervise a team of planning officers dealing with Development Management matters including the processing of complex major planning applications and to contribute to the efficient and effective performance of the section.
• To act as lead officer at Planning Committee.
• To manage and process major and complex planning applications, enquiries and appeals and to work to deadlines.
• To vet applications to ensure that they meet minimum statutory requirements and to allocate applications to officers accordingly.
