A leading engineering consultancy in Manchester is seeking a Placement Student in Geotechnical Engineering. This 12-month placement offers a chance to work on exciting projects in Rail and Highways sectors. Candidates should be studying Civil Engineering or Geology, and possess a full UK driving license. About the Team
Amey’s Geotechnical practice sits within the Highways business and works cross-sector with the Rail and Environment businesses. We carry out geotechnical work on all stages of a project life cycle, from inception to construction and handover of new geotechnical and structural assets. These assets include new bridges, embankments, cuttings and retaining structures. We are also heavily involved in asset management for our major clients across highways and rail sectors. This includes asset inspections, implementation of monitoring plans and design of remedial solutions where failures occur.
