Job description

Overview

This is an excellent new role, suited to those of you who enjoy broking, but prefer not to be bogged down with the regulatory administrative tasks that come with general account handling. In this role, your primary focus is on placing risks, negotiating and doing deals with the underwriters. You will join an excellent team; a very professional and enjoyable office environment with great people. There is an element of flexibility, so hybrid working is available.

Responsibilities

• Place risks and negotiate and complete deals with underwriters.

Qualifications

• Ideal applicants will have at least 3 years commercial broking experience with a good all‑round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance.
• Premiums ranges from £2k to £200k per annum with varying levels of technical complexity.
• Previous use of Acturis system would be beneficial and progress towards CII studies will be fully supported.
• You will be a strong communicator, well organised and able to develop professional relationships; it is important that you enjoy working in a very "team oriented" environment.
