Overview

Our client is a highly regarded commercial insurance wholesale business with a busy and growing Leeds City Centre office. Due to this excellent growth, they have a requirement to appoint two additional placement brokers.

Responsibilities

• Work with key broker partners, assisting them in the placement of a wide variety of commercial insurances, ranging from SME through to larger mid-market and corporate risks of more technically complex nature.
• Place the majority of cases within the Lloyds market and other speciality insurers with an appetite for "difficult to place" risks.
• Identify the correct markets, negotiate and arrange risk placement, and manage relationships to create further new business opportunities and help brokers achieve account growth.
• Meet with brokers and attend networking events to develop relationships and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ideal applicants will have at least 2 or more years\' commercial insurance experience.
• Natural inclination to enjoy negotiation and placement elements of broking.
• We are happy to hear from commercial brokers, commercial account handlers, or commercial underwriters looking to move across to a broking role.

Benefits & Work Arrangements

Although predominantly office based, there is an opportunity to work on a flexible basis with some hybrid working. This role comes with an excellent salary of up to circa £40k + a fully comprehensive benefits package.
