A prominent healthcare institution in Tooting, UK is seeking a dedicated Physician Associate to provide high-quality care for Urological patients. You will play a critical role in assisting consultants and resident doctors while supervising and training future Physician Associates. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications, including a BSc and postgraduate degree in Physician Associate studies. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient care across various settings.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide care for Urological patients. The postholder will be part of a team working across different areas in the department, wards, clinic, theatres, etc. They will work closely with the consultant of the week, Resident Doctors, and fellow PAs responsible for patients on the ward, including both elective and emergency patients. The postholder will provide assistance to the Consultant Surgeons and resident doctors in the provision of high-quality care within the department. They will participate in all aspects of the patient pathway as appropriate and perform delegated duties with high clinical skill. The postholder will be trained to assess and examine patients, present them, initiate and interpret investigations, and recommend treatment. They will liaise with other professionals and specialties as required and complete necessary documentation relating to their patients. They will be supervised by a designated consultant of the week and will also have an individual educational supervisor to overview their career development. It is expected that the Physician Associates will become involved in the activities of the department, including review of inpatients, assessment of acute admissions, audits, MDTs, practical procedures and outpatient clinics. Physician Associates represent the department at local and external meetings as appropriate.
