Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our primary care team at Gatwick IRC, located in Gatwick.

Overview

The site currently offers a 24-hour service and shift patterns. This role is 15 hours a week – weekends only. 7:00am – 15:00pm. Flexible to do day and night shifts.

Salary

This position is full time; you'll receive an annual salary up to £41,475 per annum FTE – depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK, and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding, patient‑centred care; listen to feedback and personalise care while ensuring safe and secure medicines management; maintain patient records to the agreed standard and follow standard operating procedures
  • Deliver non-judgemental care within professional standards; include timely administration of medicines and cost‑effective prescribing analysis as defined by our health in justice medicines policy; work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team

What we look for

  • NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC or equivalent
  • ACT Qualified
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Up-to-date CPD
  • Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience
  • General GCSE education or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is desirable but not essential.
