A primary care network in the UK is seeking a pharmacy technician to support the efficient prescribing and enhance patient care across its surgeries. This full-time role involves developing prescribing systems, assisting with medication queries, and promoting cost-effective strategies. Candidates must be qualified pharmacy technicians with strong experience in primary care and excellent communication skills.
EAST:MK Primary Care Network has exciting opportunity for a pharmacy technician to join our team. The role is offered on a full-time basis, 37.5 hours per week over 5 days per week, between Monday and Saturday, on a rotation basis across the 4 surgeries; Ashfield Medical Centre, CMK Medical Centre, Milton Keynes Village Practice and The Grove Surgery that make up the PCN.
The successful candidate will benefit from this unique opportunity to build up strong working relationships across our organisation and will be actively involved in how their role evolves over time.
The role will involve developing our prescribing systems to ensure safe, effective and efficient prescribing within the practice and supporting the reception and admin teams with complex medication queries. Other regular tasks will involve supporting the GP partners on prescribing projects and cost/safety audits and actions.
East:MK PCN covers a total population of around 56,000 patients, across its 4 practices in Milton Keynes: Ashfield Medical Centre, CMK Medical Centre, Milton Keynes Village Practice and the Grove Surgery.
