Role: Pharmacy Technician

Location: The Christie Private Hospital, Manchester

Hours: Full-time/Part-time 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday. Rotation covering 08:00–18:00 plus rota weekends and bank holidays. Flexible working arrangements may be considered.

Contract Type: Permanent

We’re looking for a Pharmacy Technician (Acute Care and Oncology) to join our Pharmacy team at The Christie Private Care Centre, rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.

Role overview

Currently the world’s largest private healthcare group; providing award-winning primary, acute and complex care, The Christie Private Care provides advanced cancer care and houses the world\'s largest early clinical trials unit. Our specialist team treat private patients using a full range of diagnostic, inpatient, surgical, day care and outpatient treatment all on one site.

As a key member of the Pharmacy Team they will assist in the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service which consistently meets the needs of all service users. You will contribute to the day-to-day running of the Pharmacy and will report to the Senior Pharmacy Technician with support from the Lead Pharmacy Technician.

What you’ll bring
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • NVQ Level 3 in pharmaceutical science and BTEC Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Science, or equivalent qualification with underpinning knowledge.
  • Accredited Checking Technician (essential).
  • Experience of working within a hospital environment (Desirable).
