About the Role

To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, offering a wide variety of shift patterns to fit around your lifestyle. Weekend working is a requirement. You will provide a warm and friendly experience to customers, confidently discuss personal health issues, quickly resolve problems, and guide customers to the right products. You will also spend time accurately assembling and processing prescriptions.

You will drive awareness of additional services we offer in Pharmacy (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews). You will support the Pharmacist with delivery and effective record‑keeping of patient services such as blood pressure checks and stop‑smoking schemes.

You will develop an understanding of the strict Standard Operating Procedures and work to them as our customers expect. You will also collect the customer’s prescription from their doctor’s surgery on their behalf and bring it to the store ready for collection.

We will help you become a star Pharmacy colleague – you will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within six months and then train as a Dispensing Assistant, completing your pharmacy training.
