Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, which brings a wide variety of shift patterns. We will work with you on your shifts, but weekend working is a requirement of the role, and we may need to be flexible with your work pattern. Our in-store Pharmacies are popular with customers and require the same warmth and friendliness as the rest of the store. You should be confident and relaxed about discussing personal health issues, resolving customer problems quickly, and guiding customers to the right products.
You will be responsible for spending time accurately assembling and processing prescriptions. You will drive awareness of extra pharmacy services (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews). You will support the Pharmacist with the delivery and record keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes). You will learn and follow the strict Standard Operating Procedures so customers receive the expected service. You will also collect customers’ prescriptions from their doctor’s surgery on their behalf and bring them to the store for collection.
We will help you become a star Pharmacy colleague by completing an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months, and then training as a Dispensing Assistant to continue your pharmacy training. Each step adds to the service you provide and advances your career.
You'll be naturally friendly, highly organized and ready to get involved, working with your team to deliver great results. You have good computer skills, attention to detail, and you communicate well with customers. You enjoy problem solving and are passionate about helping people and delivering a great healthcare experience, helping customers find what they need and having a chat along the way.
